A number of registration options are available. You may register ONLINE during the dates specified on our webpage, or drop by in person at the Continuing Education Department at board office in Aurora.

Q. What do I need to register?
A student’s OEN number is required when registering your child(ren). The OEN is a student identification number that is assigned by the Ministry of Education to elementary and secondary students across the province. The number, which is unique to every student, is used as the key identifier on a student’s school records, and will follow the student through his or her elementary and secondary education.
You will find the 9-digit student OEN number printed on the report card. Have your student’s OEN (Ontario Education Number) and Credit card information ready to enter.
Non-YCDSB students will be required to upload a copy of their Birth Certificate or Report Card in a PDF format if registering for either the International Languages or Skills Development program.
Q. What if my Username and password is incorrect and I cannot Log-in?
If your OEN begins with a ‘0’ please enter your Username and Password omitting the ‘0’. If you are still experiencing difficulties, contact YCDSB at 1-888-767-4778 option # 3.-item]
Q. Is there continuous registration?
Continuous registration applies to the International Languages program only. Parents may continue to register their child(ren) after classes have started, provided there is space and teacher availability.
Q. Will I receive notification of my registration?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation from the Continuing Education Dept., after you have completed and submitted your registration form and your payment has successfully been processed.
Q. I have completed the online registration and uploaded all necessary documents, so does this mean I am in the course?
Yes. You will receive a notification via email that your registration was successfully submitted. We will only contact you if the course/program is cancelled or moved to another location. Please take your child(ren) to the location you have chosen on the first day of class.
Q. If I am a VISA student, can I also register for these programs?
Yes, VISA students may also register for any Elementary or Secondary program but a program fee will apply. Please refer to our webpage for the current fees.
Q. Can my child who will be entering JK in Sept. register for the Summer International Languages programs?
Yes, If your child is entering JK in Sept., then you can register them for the International Languages program running during the summer. Follow the Registration Procedures for Elementary.
Program Information
Q. Is there a cost for these programs?
Yes. Either a non-refundable consumable fee of $30.00 per student or a program fee will apply. Due to the number of programs we offer, we recommend that you view the most current fees and how they apply to you by selecting the program you are interested in on our website.
Q. Do you have to be a YCDSB student to attend any of these programs?
NO. Although YCDSB students will be given first priority. We accept Non-YCDSB students, however a fee may apply based on the program.
Q. What happens if a class/program is cancelled?
YCDSB makes every effort to ensure all scheduled classes run. However if a class/program is cancelled due to low enrolment or lack of teacher availability, then you will be notified via email from the Continuing Education Dept., informing you of the cancellation and your payment will be refunded.
Q. Is transportation provided?
No. Transportation is NOT provided by the YCDSB. Parents/Guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up their child(ren) as these programs are offered outside of regular school hours.
Q. How can a new language be added to the International Languages program?
If there are 23 students registered for the new language, then we will look into offering that language, provided we have a teacher available.
