Aquatics Credit Program

Earn a high school credit while gaining real world aquatic training and in demand certifications. This unique program combines classroom learning with hands on pool instruction, helping students build confidence, leadership skills, and valuable qualifications for future employment.

Courses Offered

PAQ2O – Aquatics Part 1 (Grade 10 Open)
Healthy Living and Aquatic Activities

PLF4M – Aquatics Part 2 (Grade 12 Mixed)
Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership

Important: Students must successfully complete PAQ2O – Aquatics Part 1 before registering for PLF4M – Aquatics Part 2. Aquatics Part 2 is not available to students who have not completed Aquatics Part 1.

Swimming Pre-Requisite and Course Fee

Students participating in the Aquatics Credit Program will be required to complete a swim test to confirm they meet the required swimming pre-requisite for the program.

Students must register through YCDSB Continuing Education. The course fee is $275, payable directly to the community centre only after successful completion of the required swim test.

Payment should not be made to the community centre until the student has successfully completed the swim test.
