If you are travelling outside of Canada during the school year, or while taking a summer school course, access to YCDSB online systems, including Google Classroom, Gmail, D2L Brightspace and your ycdsbk12 account, may be restricted.
Students who plan to travel outside of Canada while completing a course must inform their teacher as soon as possible and provide the following information:

- Travel destination
- Departure date
- Return date

Your teacher or program staff will submit an Out of Country Access Request Form to request access for you while you are travelling.
Please note that approval of this request does not guarantee access. Access may still be restricted depending on your travel destination. A list of travel-restricted countries will be provided in student notifications.
If this process is not completed before your travel, you may not be able to access your course learning platform while outside of Canada.
