This program is available primarily to those students in the Justice, Community Safety and Emergency Services SHSM or who have indicated an interest in participating in this centralized program. Other eligible students include students in SHSM: Health & Wellness

Through participation in a wide range of physical activities in a variety of settings, students can enhance their movement competence, personal fitness, and confidence. Students also acquire an understanding of the factors and skills that contribute to healthy development and learn how their own well-being is affected by, and affects, the world around them.

Focus is on the physical fitness and necessary to prepare students for a pathway in justice, community safety and emergency services sectors.

Students will receive training in first aid, CPR, fire safety/extinguisher use and ladder safety training. Students will also identify and investigate the requirements related to a career in the field of community and protective services.
