The Summer Skills Development program is open to students who have completed grades 6,7, or 8 as of June 2018
A minimum of 15 students is required.
Skills Development classes are offered to students that have experienced a gap in their learning, in reading, writing, and math, and require additional academic support. This programs complies with the Ministry of Education curriculum and is Ministry funded, however a non-refundable consumable fee will apply.
Due to new Ministry requirements, a Principal’s Recommendation is required to register for the Skills Development program however;
- if you are a YCDSB student, then arrangements for principal’s recommendation to enrol in this program will be made directly with the administrative team. Parents can just register their child.
- if you are a Non -YCDSB student, the approval of the day school Principal is required before continuing to register online for this program. Click on the button below to download a copy of this form.
Decisions to run courses are based on sufficient student enrolment and teacher availability. YCDSB students will have first priority to programs.
